Flour + Water Pizzeria Opens New Flagship

Acclaimed Flour + Water Hospitality Group opened its much-anticipated flagship pizzeria in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood.

Flour + Water Pizzeria serves up both classic and inventive pies, like cacio e pepe or bone marrow with mustard greens. (And if it feels too fancy, you can add mozzarella sticks with house-made ranch.) The 4,000 square foot space features a glass-enclosed dough room where diners can watch the pizza-making magic, and walls of stacked pizza boxes that create a bold design element.

Adjacent to the pizzeria is the smaller Flour + Water Pizza Shop, where customers can drop in for a "Big Slice" and boozy slushie, play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, or take a pie home. As the team anticipates opening more to-go shops throughout the Bay Area, the North Beach flagship will serve as the hub, supplying dough to the new outposts.

Office created the pizzeria branding to align with the Flour+Water family of restaurants, while giving it a distinctive personality that reflects its slightly quirky, nostalgic, and still family-friendly vibe. It shows up across the logo, signage, menu, packaging, entrance tile mosaics (one that’s a take on a Pizza Space Invaders arcade game), kids’ activities and website.
