Bringing the French Riviera to the South Bay
Augustine, the latest restaurant from Michelin-awarded Bacchus Management Group, opened in San Jose’s upscale Santana Row shopping district. The visually stunning 7,000 square foot restaurant offers refined California cuisine influenced by the French Riviera, while the more casual adjacent Cafe Augustine serves up pastries, sandwiches and coffee.
Office created Augustine’s visual identity, inspired by the laid back luxury of mediterranean design. Like time spent on the riviera, we aimed to achieve a balance of sophistication and glamour, along with a welcoming and relaxed vibe. The logotype reflects Art Deco influences, while cobalt blue is a nod to the Mediterranean Sea. Artful watercolor strokes reference artwork the Bacchus team commissioned for the restaurant.
